Epstein Family Amphitheater Opening Weekend

As you’re planning your itinerary for Homecoming week, make sure to check out San Diego’s newest performance venue, the Epstein Family Amphitheater. Designed with entertainers of the highest caliber in mind, the 2,650-seat open-air venue is a showcase for performing arts, featuring local and international talent in everything from large-scale rock concerts to classical quartets and theatrical dance.

“There really is something for everyone at UC San Diego,” said UC San Diego Chancellor Pradeep K. Khosla. “These inaugural artists reflect the wide-ranging and evolving interests of not only our students, faculty and staff, but also of our greater bi-national community.”

REC AT THE AMP

UCSD Recreation takes the stage at the Epstein Family Amphitheater on October 20 for a day interactive fun!  In the morning REC hosts early morning workouts at 6:30 and 7:30am. Then from 1-4pm activities include Aerial Silks, Martial Arts, Yoga, Zumba, Hula Hooping, lawn games and more. Get active with Rec at the Amp!

Death Cab for Cutie is an American alternative rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997. The band is composed of Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer, Jason McGerr, Dave Depper, and Zac Rae. Death Cab for Cutie rose from being a side project to becoming one of the most exciting groups to emerge from the indie rock scene of the 2000s. They have been nominated for eight Grammy Awards. The band’s tenth studio album Asphalt Meadows will be out on 9/16/22 and their new song “Roman Candles” is out now.
