Triton Tailgate Concert and Soccer Game

Join us for the Triton Tailgate Concert, featuring live and virtual entertainment, great music, food and games. We’ll turn it up for our special featured guest, Ozomatli—a 6-piece Grammy award-winning band, who will bring the energy with their unique blend of Latin, hip hop, jazz and rock. We invite you to stretch out, eat, play and maybe even dance it up with fellow Tritons. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with friends and enjoy a night of Triton fun.

The evening’s festivities will offer lawn games the whole family can enjoy, including ladder ball, cornhole and bocce ball, just to name a few. If you’re a foodie, we’ve got you covered with food truck cuisine offering taste sensations to suit every palate, plus beverages from alumni-owned Protector Brewery. And we’ll be sure to keep the beats going with entertainment from festival DJ, Ryan “Shneaky” Perez '16.

We’ll also recognize the 2021 Family of the Year Award recipients and our inaugural Homecoming Grand Marshal, Judy Sweet, former UC San Diego Athletics Director, 1975-2000.

Prior to the Tailgate, be sure to rev up your Triton spirit for UC San Diego Men’s Soccer, as their first NCAA Division I season reaches fever pitch! Cheer them on as they square off against Big West Conference foe CSU Bakersfield for a finale game on home turf.
